Program Overview

With over 20 years of proven training experience, AHA provides participants with world class practical training at some of the most prestigious hotel and resort destinations in the United States. AHA’s “Passport to Culture” training Program has been specifically designed to develop future leaders who can effectively transcend borders and meet the demands of a global economy in the 21st century. AHA’s structured training plan consists of three components; Cultural Exchange, Education and Practical Training.


AHA’s all inclusive training programs include:
  • Paid Internships in the United States at premier resort locations
  • Assistance with housing and transportation
  • SERVLEAD and Service Basics Training Manuals
  • Enrolment into AHA’s eCampus
  • AHA Certificate of Completion
  • Professional Certification (optional)
  • Structured training plans and competencies
  • Community service involvement

Cultural Exchange
The cornerstone of all of AHA’s educational and training programs is the study of culture, and the ability of our students to understand and respect different cultures and beliefs in order to successfully manage and lead within a multicultural workplace.

AHA’s programs encourage all participants (Cultural Ambassadors) to share and celebrate the varied traditions and cultures of their home countries, fostering a spirit of international understanding and friendship.

Education
Through participation in AHA’s training programs, all participants are enrolled into AHA’s eCampus allowing them the opportunity to earn an AHA Certificate of Completion and their CHP (Certified Hospitality Professional) designation. The CHP online curriculum is industry driven and has been developed by an exceptional team of both academics and industry partners from around the world. Practical Training and Competencies
AHA provides participants paid internship placements at some of the most prestigious hotels and resorts in the USA. Additionally, AHA provides you with training competencies to be used as a guide to maximize your learning experience. These competencies have been identified by industry leaders as the skills and work functions essential to developing a successful career in hospitality.

AHA encourages you to become a lifelong learner and take the initiative to use these competencies as a self-study training guide during your work experience. You will find five general property training competencies and a list of discipline (hospitality position) specific competencies in the Passport to Cultural Manual.

Positions Include: eCampus
Through AHA’s eCampus, participants have the added advantage of interacting with other participants from around the world online. This unique international exposure strengthens participant’s communication and teamwork skills, providing them with a competitive edge essential to succeeding in today’s global market. AHA’s eCampus allows enrolled participants from around the world to:
